Thoughts: Being Brave, the Martin Luther Way
31 October.
Brave is not about daring to enter a haunted house.
Being brave is about daring to stand for what’s right although ‘everyone else’ believed differently.
Being brave is about making a positive difference with our presence and contribution, although ‘everyone else’ thinks it’s not important.
Being brave is about fighting for the truth, with love and kindness.
499 years ago, there was one brave man who stood up against all odds, against the authorities, and nailed his thoughts that were based on the Scriptures, the Truth, on All Saints’ Church door in Wittenberg, Germany.
He was later excommunicated by the society and the church (who says doing the right thing is easy?), his action that day greatly influenced the world, until today.
Thank God for Martin Luther.
Hope and pray that what Luther did 499 years ago influences us in many ways, as we struggle and live our days as people of the faith.
May God help us.
Have a blessed Reformation Day.
