Basic Manners vs. Entitled Children
One of the things that parents need to be aware of is their children becoming entitled little people, simply because their lives have always been … comfortable.
Like, if they’ve always had a helper around the house, they would expect the helper to do most of the work, e.g. Preparing breakfast, washing the dishes, doing the laundry, etc.
The helper is around so much that they naturally expect things to be done by the helper FOR them, without them needing to say thanks to the helper.
…
Instilling basic manners however require us adults to proactively and consistently teach these children, since young, the importance of appreciating other people who do things FOR them.
At least, verbally.
Not just to the helper (e.g. for the nice meals prepared that day), but also to other people, like security guards who open doors for them.
…
Food for thought.

Oh one last thing, children learn the best when they watch their parents walk the talk, too.
