Displaying our Family’s ArtWorks
Since we moved to Jakarta, I must say the walls at our home are pretty much … empty.
We’ve been wanting to display photo frames and some of our paintings on the walls, but we just somehow never got around to doing it.
Until today!
*YAY*
So happy to finally see COLOURS on our walls.
And, here’s Anya with her freshly-painted artwork, ready to go on our wall too!
*excited!*
(Oh btw, out of all her drawings and sketches, the one in her hands is one of my favourites! =)
…
Btw, do you display your family’s artworks on the walls of your home?
How do you arrange them?

Hi Leonny! The artworks look great!
May i know where you got those canvases? Don’t seem to be able to get them in SG. They usually come with something ‘additional’ e.g brushes that we do not need. And what kind of paints do we need on these canvases? Would really love to do more artwork wif my boys :).
Thanks for all the useful tips on parenting you have shared in your blog! ❤️
Hi Cheryl! Thanks! =)
Here in Jakarta, we can get these canvases easily off the shelf. The ones I get for the kids is usually the 20x30cm ones. Price wise, they range from Rp24,000 – Rp50,000 for a 20x30cm piece, depending on the brand (around S$2.80 – S$5.50?). So far we used either watercolour or acrylic paint on the canvases.
Back in SG, I bought some canvas ‘cloth’ from Daiso Vivo City. The only thing about it is, it’s not yet mounted on a frame. But then you can frame those, I guess? =)
Anya’s art class at school use canvases often now. But when it comes to painting on canvas at home, what I usually tell the kids is, try and draw what you have in mind on paper first. Then we can always transfer it to the canvas. This way, they don’t ‘anyhow’ paint and waste the canvases we bought =)
Thanks Leonny! looks like I will be making a trip to Daiso soon. 🙂 Btw, really love the family tree you have there on the wall!
Thanks Cheryl! =) And hope you find the stuff you need there ya …
