Giveaway : Stickers for the Kids’ Belongings, From StickerKid!

14 November 201323 Comments

I admit.

Despite telling my kids to NOT write on their clothes, this is what I’ve done to my children’s clothes.

Marking their school clothes with their initials or full names. Using black permanent markers.

(Wave your hands if you’ve done the same)

I know. It’s ugly, but it’s just necessary, because :

> I have two school-going kids and they do change uniforms at school (eg. To their sports uniform). Now, when you are in a room full of boys / girls wearing exactly the same thing, you’re just bound to get your clothes mixed up with someone else.

> Kids are kids, and when they’re in a hurry, they are bound to drop / misplace / lose things (eg. Pencil cases, school hats, water bottles, even shoes!)

My point is : Marking our belongings with the kids’  names is just plain necessary.

But then, lo and behold …

I recently found out about this super good solution : Cute labels by StickerKid!

When Josephine from StickerKid contacted me about the kinds of labels they make (and ship worldwide!), I just thought THIS IS FANTASTIC!

And as a mom of three, I especially appreciate the facts that the stickers:

– are water resistant and washing machine safe!
– can be ironed on the clothes too!

[Stickers for Vai’s shoes. Identification made easy, and cute]

I’ve come across water-resistant stickers before, but I haven’t found ironed-on stickers and for shoes too!

So I tested these stickers out first, for TWO MONTHS, before sharing it with you all today.

Verdict : Yep, they’re good!

Now.

    Thanks .. yeah so happy

My mother has dementia and is constantly using my toddler’s face towels which we use for wiping her hands and mouth to blow her nose. I’m hoping that labelling the towels will help prevent this from happening.

  • Jacquelene Pang says:

it’d be great to have these labels in place, so that nothing gets lost!

    thank you for hosting!

  • Yenny Lyne says:

I like the idea of personal stickers on own belongings, especially the shoes stickers. My school-going kids have to take off their shoes when they entered the gyms during Physical Education lessons. There was one time, she came home wearing 2 different size of left shoe and right shoe. 🙂
If everyone has shoes stickers, it won’t be difficult to spot own shoes, right?

  • Debs G says:

This would be brilliant for my 2 year old who’s going to start preschool soon!

  • Joanne says:

Any mum knows that kids misplace things and that kids get their things mixed up with other kid’s things. These labels will help solve those problems. It’s great that they are waterproof too!

  • Cyndi says:

Oh, these stickers are just super lovely.
    They are nice and neat.
Currently, what I do for Timmy is just write it on a piece of paper, cut it and stick it to his books/ pencils/ lunch boxes with transparent sticky tape. Hehehehe…

The fact that the stickers are washable is very convenient and great. For his lunch box, I have to change my sticky tape every now and then because water gets into it and damage the name.

It would be a nice surprise to have these stickers. 🙂
Thank you Leonny and StickerKid! 🙂

  • Lynn says:

Just in time for my boy! He’s promoting to Primary 1 and these labels will come in real handy. Thank you 🙂

  • Albert Fernando says:

I wonder what will my four year old’s reaction be if he sees the shoe sticker? I think he would probably show his shoes off to his childcare teachers and friends coz his shoes have his name! I can’t wait to show the stickers to 2 years old mei mei, who is just totally crazy about sticker. I have a feeling she will paste the stickers on her legs, cheeks and clothes. But I will make sure she’d paste the stickers and her books first. My wife, who never fancies ironing chores, will get more motivated to iron those clothes stickers on kids’ uniform. Yay!

  • Jason says:

No need to damage by labeling all the clothes with black marker

  • ashmika jain says:

    Hi,

I love to have it for my 2 school going kids…With the stickers no more, exchange waterbottles, shoes in school & their enrichment classes . It will save lot of my time, sending notes to the respective places..at the same time make my kids more confident in taking their own items as they will be really sure about it..

    Thanks

  • nita ng says:

My daughter is going to kindy in early 2014. So this time, I, as a mom has to prepare everything for her going to school. One of them is labelling most of her belongings especially her bags, her shoes, her stationery, her uniforms, her lunch box, drink bottle and whatsoever so just in case if she lost it, someone would return it to her. I hope I could have the chance to try this StickerKid so I don’t need to use permanent markers (again)!!!

  • Jaime Chan says:

My childcare teacher wrote in ink my son’s name on his white polo ralph lauren boathouse…i never knew the importnace of label until now

  • Jaime Chan says:

My childcare teacher label (in ink) my son’s white polo ralph lauren boatshoe…i wanted to cry….i need labels badly!

  • Joy Sung says:

    Hi dear,
I am a mummy to a 7 years old boy and i uses tons of labels. Boys tends to be careless in misplacing their items and as a mum i will stick almost everything he brings to the school and enrichment classes.( Books, Pencil Cases, Rulers, Erasers, etc… )

But the point of facts is the quality of the sticker that i have purchased will not last me for too long as the stickiness wears off quite easily and i will go stick stick stick again and again. This can be quite frustrating.

I am glad that you have blog about StickerKid and i will definitely LOVE to give it a try. Especially the shoe stickers, i have never come across such products. My child has always worry that his shoes will get worn away by another child by mistake…hahaha..with this stickers guess it solves the problem.

Thanks for the giveaway and hope i will WIN this. Finger Cross!!!

  • Angela says:

My girl is going to pri 1 next year. These stickers will be good for me to label her belongings.

  • Dita Utomo says:

Josh is going to daycare five days a week and it is compulsory to write his name on evrythings he brings to school. Too often, the permanent marks were disappeared and I have to always check and write again. I do hope to get a chance to try this stickers.^^

  • Jade Almazan says:

My daughter will be starting prep school soon and these would definitely help a lot for me to keep track of her things and help keep her stuff organized since a toddler is always messy. 🙂
