When a hungry 6yo girl had to wait for her food …
… she ended up drawing this! Heh.
You see, Anya was very hungry that afternoon. And after a rather long walk towards our eating place, we had to wait again for at least 20 minutes before our food came.
While we’re all waiting (by the water fountain), she asked for a pen and she started scribbling on the back of her placemat.
It was interesting to see how she poured out her thoughts in writing like this.
(I never was like this when I was her age!)
If she had a twitter account, she’d probably tweeted this too, haha.
…
This was what she wrote:
Anya said
“I think the water fountain is beautifull”
“I think the rastorant is very long to wait if we want to eat here. So long, so bad.”

Oh I went to your blog and am really impressed with the many things you guys do together with the kids! Really great! ๐
And yep, having pens/pencils and papers when we’re out and about REALLY helps ๐
Flower Mummy:
Thank you!
Anya loves to write and draw (I know I was totally not like her when I was her age :), and I notice how she imagines and writes them out a lot too ๐
Hi Sally,
Normally my kids would keep asking too ๐ I think most normal kids would do it ;D
On that particular day, Anya was extra patient, and she didn’t complain as much (and I told her how I noticed that too ๐
She’s really good, man… salut dah!
What a gem! My boys love to draw and write too, so we always bring along some pens and papers everywhere we go. It helps to keep them occupied and take their minds off the waiting. :>
Anya is able to write and express her thoughts very well at her age ..
I love her writing style and the illustration that she drew of herself ..
My girl in this situation would normally whine and keep asking me hundred times why so longggg?? I am Hungryyyyy. You have a very sensible girl, instead of getting angry, stomping, shouting and showing her tantrum, she poured it out thru writing, you’re a good little girl Anya! ๐
