Return of the Haze in Singapore
It’s all hazy again here in Singapore.
[And the last time it happened badly here in Singapore was in 2006, not too long after Vai was born! It was so bad that we could only see a few hundred metres ahead of us, and the rest was just a blur]
The return of this haze problem dawned on me when I saw how bad the weather was when the kids had their swimming lesson today.
It was smoky all over.
And when I got home, I found out how it’s caused by fires in parts of Sumatra (again), and how the winds blow more smoke towards Singapore.
Sigh.
It does make me feel reluctant to go out and about.
Plus, with this morning sickness phase still lingering around, the haze somehow gives me a little ‘breathing discomfort’ too.
[I know some people’s asthma returns, and kids fall sick too as the result. Poor thing.]
Really hope the air is clear again very, VERY soon.
…
Btw, how are you affected by the haze?

I remembered the last 2006 haze, why, because it was THE HIGHEST PSI on my wedding day 7.10.06.
It was like getting married in the alps as our wedding banquet was @ mountfaber hehehe.
Hi Leonny….my kids are affected! Having upper respiratory symptoms such as running nose and cough. Hope it clears up soon. I am also not reluctant to bring them out nowadays..except for parents place.
Hallo, hope you are feeling better! Heard that NEA provides updates on the PSI index via twitter. My hubby just went to follow their tweets via his iphone. Good way to track the PSI index! =)
Hi Leonny
Do take care for bb3 and drink sufficient water.

The haze return just as I started to work from home prior to my official maternity leave…. and I kept my daughter at home every other day, and I have to reluctantly lock myself in the study while doing my work and interacting with her by turning the AC. It’s really ridiculous! I hope sky will clear soon too or that God will send a rain.
I hope your morning sickness is not too bad.
