One of the benefits of bringing along a pocket camera …

… is that you get to capture the everydayness of life that we treasure.

Without feeling the ‘weight’ very much.

Btw, just wondering … do you ‘always’ bring along your camera when you go out? Or do you normally rely on the camera on your mobile phone?

    Hi hi .. ๐Ÿ™‚

I do find it more troublesome too to bring along a bulky camera with me when going out and about with the kids. I guess it’s just not quite practical for daily use if you’re a mom of young children?

I too shoot mostly with my Canon Powershot S90 these days. The quality of course is not as yummy as those taken with a DSLR, but I’m happy with it so far ๐Ÿ™‚

    Samantha:

… and rely on CK to take other necessary shots of the kids hehe …

  • Leonny says:

    sammi:

Hey those shots are pretty good! My Nokia takes worse pics than those ๐Ÿ™‚ more pixelated and low in resolution (turning on the flash is worse!)

I’m happy with it as a phone so far though …

Camera phone is so much more common these days … so practical as well … as long as the photos are relatively good in quality I too will be happy with it! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Leonny,

I usually use my Iphone cam to take pics of my kids. If there is something going on, like a bday occasion or sightseeing, I will bring my canon ixus300 out.
Last time, I have a D40, but sold it away as I find its too bulky for me to carry here and there, especially when kids are involved and already the bag is big and full.

  • Samantha says:

Leonny – mine is SE C905. I don’t know how to function Digital cam, so only rely on my camera phone.

  • sammi says:

yeah, mine is just a low-end nokia camera, but some of the photos still acceptable, lah. Like these were all taken with my hp camera. I don’t use the flash usually bc everyone tends to get v shocked if they see flashes going around. And so, the action shots are not good. But good enough for keeping pix for memory. Eg. like these photos were all taken with hp cam:

yes, i just use my camera phone everywhere i go.
easy to use, efficient and it can be used to take a candid picture ๐Ÿ™‚

    Samantha:

The quality pretty good, I guess?

Wilson takes photos with his iphone… (my Nokia’s camera takes low quality pics though). Time to change to iphone may be … haha

  • Leonny says:

    Yen:

hey hey btw iphone takes pretty good photos!
I’m a nokia user, and the photo quality is … low … haha … (well, for my series at least)

So, my S90 goes to places with me every day ๐Ÿ˜€
(really have been traveling light since I had my S90)

    Wenny:

Thanks for the encouraging note about my blog ๐Ÿ˜€ Sure you’re most welcome to link up to my blog! Do share your blog link too next time yeah … ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Leonny says:

    esther:

yeah … unless we have a big event to attend or something, then we’ll bring out our bulky dslr. Otherwise, we’ve always traveled light these days with just our compact camera in my bag! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Leonny says:

    sammi:

Can’t use my camera phone, quality very low ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Samantha says:

    I use my camera phone.

  • Yen says:

When I first bought my LX3, I thought I will bring it everyday with me. That lasted for a while, until I have iPhone hahaha…. but I am now starting to bring back my pocket camera everytime I travel with family.
I have 450D and luckily its not as big as the more advance dslr and my most treasured lense is the light weight, and cheap 50mm, that so far, I am happy and contented with.

I kind of hope that I would have bought S90 instead of lumix lx3 though hehehe…….

  • Wenny says:

    Hi Leonny,
I love reading your blog so much that I’m inspired to have my own blog now, am a beginner and need to learn a lot from ๐Ÿ˜‰ anyway I am thinking to put your link on my blog, wonder if you would agree to that?

and oh ya I do bring my pocket camera whenever I go out, hoping that I can bump to celebrities and take a pic with them he he he…

    cheers

  • esther says:

  • sammi says:
