When Anya turned SIX years old!

Anya turned SIX today, and we had a little celebration yesterday at Sunday School AND another one at her school today.
And, I went ahead with my ‘decision’ to try and make her birthday cakes this year!

Anyway, I’ll share MORE photos and how it all went SOON.
For now, here’re two photos of Anya and her humble little ‘Strawberry Shortcake’ birthday cake she had on Sunday.

I’ll share a little more about steaming the cake in this coming week.
I know Anya was very happy that we made our own cake for her this year … It felt really rewarding for me too (and I think I’ll start making our own bday cakes from now on … 🙂

Oh wow…that’s a fabulous looking cake that u have made! Been wondering if I should bake for Kyle’s birthday next week, but its really too much work.
Oh my! Guess I must learn how to bake a cake. Maybe try it for Caleb birth in April. Of course with my Sister-in-law help, she’s a pastry chef:p
