Vai : My FIRST Tennis Lesson!
Anya and Vai signed up for VVIP International‘s Summer Holiday Tennis Camp, where they’ll attend 5 sessions of tennis lessons altogether, held over a period of 2 weeks (twice this week and three times next week).
Each session lasts for 3 hours (9am – 12pm). And their main coach is Wynne Prakusya.
[They both never held kids’ tennis rackets before and these sessions are their very first tennis lessons, ever]
I’ll share more about how it all went in another post later.
For now, here’s a video clip of Vai (the youngest kid in the group, at 2years 9months) and his very first tennis lesson! Hehe.
Click HERE to watch it on youtube.
Enjoy!
PS: Oh btw, if you notice, before Vai hits the ball, he needs to get into the ‘ready position’. Over there, the kids are taught to get into the position while saying ‘Hello Mr. Tennis Racket, how are you today?’ (read: an easier way for little ones to remember the ready position, as it’s like ‘shaking hands’ with the racket)

Daphne:
Hi Daphne! ๐
I use two cameras : Canon Ixus 850IS and Nikon D200.
(those tennis shots are taken by Nikon D200)
I’ve been very happy with my Canon Ixus … its wide angle, the colours, etc.
Errr .. it’s just that I think I need to start looking for another pocket camera sometime soon because the last time it fell, it was a really bad accidental drop to a hard gravel road! Ouch!
AND after that (until today), I can’t zoom in and out (it’ll be completely blurred), and even if I don’t zoom in, the shot is not sharp (blurry on the sides too, hehe). Oh well, it’s still better than my phone camera at least ๐
Oh btw, I did share a bit about the cameras I use here too :

Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment! ๐
As for the cameras I use, I usually use either Canon Ixus 850 IS, or Nikon D200.
I happened to have shared a bit about the cameras I use quite some time ago, and here’s the link ya :

Doris Tiong :
Thanks Doris! ๐
(if the kids are truly passionate about tennis and continue to pursue this sport, I sure hope they stay consistent and passionate … because that’s one of the common challenges we all face when doing anything, isn’t it … )

Hi there Grace! Thanks for sharing and dropping by!
Frankly, I don’t ‘actively’ source out for such ‘summer camps’ (it’s more like I ‘chanced’ upon this!) because usually during school holidays we’re all so busy going out and about everywhere too! ๐ (and usually I’d share these places to others parents too through the blog)
But, … if there are other resources that I can share, I’d definitely share it here on my blog! ๐

hi Leonny,
did i accidentally sent u half a msg? think i hit the post key by mistake.
Caught the video and realised Vai is only a mth older than my son.! Vai’s mannerism reminds me of my own boy..:)
im working full time have to travel overseas frequently. I have no time to source for fun activities like these summer camps. Do u think u can share some of ur resources? U r such a devoted mother, im sure watever u’ve selected wld be some of the best n most reliable.
