Jakarta’s Street Food
My husband is in Jakarta right now and he emailed me this photo earlier today.
A street food seller preparing a bowl of ‘Soto Betawi’ (a traditional meat soup, usually served with rice noodles). With his bare hands.
And he took it while waiting for the seller to serve … HIS meal. Haha. Yes, that was HIS Soto Betawi.
Rather far from clean, I must say.
But then again, as they say, sometimes it’s better to just eat and NOT look at the kitchen. Heh.
PS: The man used ‘mutton’ for the soup. Err, at least we hoped it really was mutton.

Ya ya ya … hehehe … The ‘bare hands’ … lack of hygiene … it’s the trademark!
Well, street food really won’t be so tasty if it was 100% clean!
Waaah itu yg bikin enak malahan… Sebelon nya dia pasti ke wc juga. Trs cuci tangan di ember buat cuci piring kali. Haha! Hebat si wilson berani makan warteg gitu.
si wilson masih berani makan dipinggir jalan? ga sakit perut dia? hehehe..gw skrg kalo pulang dah ga berani makan abang2 di pinggir jalan gitu.
yummmmyyyyyy…. justru keringet dan bau tangan si abang yg bikin sotonya enak yah? hehehe, nambah bumbu.
