RSAF Open House 2008
The weather was blazing hot today and we were there at The Republic of Singapore Air Force’s Paya Lebar Air Base for a good 3 hours or so (it’s held over the two days this weekend)
I came all prepared. Plenty of food and drinks, sunblock, sunglasses, hats and an umbrella. But despite all that, we all went home a few shades darker!
Here are some of our photos of the day:
Lots of standing, walking, waiting and queuing up.
And I think this photo sums up how the day’s experience was like for everyone!
Anya found the heat too overwhelming and the planes not that interesting.
The Daddy as always is fascinated with all flying metal objects with wings.
And Vai, well, he’s busy telling us where the planes are, repeatedly going ‘HWAAAAA …’ and saying ‘Bye bye Chinook!’
PS: If you’d like to enjoy a free visit to the museum, it’s open every Tuesday to Sunday.

Hi and welcome to the site! Thanks for compliments too!
As for taking that particular photo, I used my Canon Ixus 850 IS, and to me it’s more about positioning myself so I can get that angle (the camera was down low). And frankly, I normally don’t think of the ‘technical’ part too much. I look and I shoot ๐
Keep on shooting!
Cheers!
Hi, my name is Gabriel. I just like to check how do you take the last pic (the helicopter) to make the kind of perspective effect? What’s the focus length, f, etc?
I am into photography and I find your pics very nicely taken.
cheers
Gab
