“Thanks” to today’s gadgets, more and more kids tend to say, “I don’t know what I’m good at. I don’t know what I like. I’m not interested in anything actually.” (But somehow they are interested …

Thanks ya for sharing!
Till you mentioned it, I didn’t know that they have ‘hairspray for kids’!
I was so reluctant about using strong chemicals on Anya’s hair (and scalp!), but since right now she doesn’t have to have her hair all up all the time (at least not all that ‘sleek’), I used the adult’s hairspray the other day. So far, we don’t need to use hairsprays / headband for her usual weekly ballet session.
Cici, kalau mau bun up, bisa pake hair spray yg buat anak2; cukup keras buat hold hair up a few hours tapi ga terlalu keras sampe unfriendly to the scalp. Waktu aku kecil juga mama pake itu, tapi ga inget apa namanya. =P Atau pake headband (yg dari cotton, bukan yg keras), kayak Odelia. =) Hehehe…
Hi Lena,
For now, we send her to a ballet class at our local community centre.
We feel that it’s a good way to first expose her to the whole ‘music and movement’ and ballet feel. And later on, if she wants to seriously continue with ballet, we’ll then consider sending her to a ballet school…
Hi may I know where do you send your girl to ballet?
Claudia :
If Anya ends up loving ballet, we’ll be behind her all the way ๐
Me on the hand, is already very very ‘stiff’ and super ‘inflexible’!! haha …
PS: Sayang ya dulu lu ga sempet pursue your passion…

She’s been talking about joining a ballet class since she’s about 2yo! And I told her that when she’s four, she’ll get to join one. And so yes, she’s VERY happy when she finally joined one, just 3 weeks ago. Keeps reminding me to ‘hurry up and get ready’ so she’s not late to class too!
I was told that it’s better to wait till a girl is about 4yo (ie. if you’re thinking of sending her to ballet).
As for one’s ‘flexibility’ … emm … can’t really say much about this, coz I guess every kid is different ? One whose body may look ‘stiff’ right now, may surprise you with a ‘split’ later?
I guess if JL’s into ballet, she’ll pick up those ‘graceful moves’ for sure … ๐
