Spending time today before it slips away
I was browsing through my photo archives and found this one. One of my favourites! Anya’s only about 2.5 years old here.
AND to think that I took it some two years back! How time flies!
Kids. They grow so fast and however much we want to turn back time and re-live those cherished sweet moments with our little ones, we can’t.
Our kids can’t stay little forever.
They grow, become increasingly independent and they’ll one day go and live a life of their own with their own family. That’s the way it is, and that’s the way it should be.
And with this in mind, I’m glad I’m here today to spend those precious growing up ‘bitter-sweet’ moments with my little ones. Fulltime.

Hi there .. thanks for leaving a comment here (and welcome to my site! ๐
For that particular shot, I used our DSLR … the lens allowed such an effect (blurry background, focused object).
It can’t be achieved using digital pocket cameras though (eg. like my Canon Ixus 850 IS), well.. unless you use its macro setting and take real close up shots of something (eg. baby’s eyelashes). Then you can get the blurred background ๐
Hope the info helps …
Hey…Beautiful picture…Question on photography…How can you focus ont he object and make the background blur in a digital camera?? It brings out the clarity of the object…beautiful
Thanks Fiona! ๐
And thanks for dropping by too, Delima! ๐

I hope=) Never mind – I will not think pessimistic. Will let nature take it course=D
Hi Samantha,
Somehow I believe how our relationship with our kids later will really depend on how we build our relationship with them today.
Of course there’ll be that tough teenage phase later on, but if we are continually there lovingly for them, I think we’ll pull through it together (I hope!)
I agree! This morning mu husband isn’t it gross if Cayden ask you to kiss his butt now. Instintively, I replied, only know you can do all kind of unny things with him. When he grow up, I don’t think I can do all these with him. So now, I have to struggle the fact that Cayden don’t grow up so soon and don’t be independant. Think about it, I admit I am selfish to obstruct his development, so will leave it to God, however I do hope we can maintain a very good relationship when he’s really independant=)

Bitter sweet moments! Yes. Tough at times, but no regrets ya … ๐
yes yes yes… Agree with you fully on this. Sometimes looking at Noah and Johan, how i wish i can freeze the time – enjoying their babyhood and toddlerhood days forever. Yes it’s definitely bitter sweet, but every moment counts!

The moment I saw this pic, I thought “Anya has Leonny’s nose”! ๐ Frankly, I miss those days when Will was a new born…just love those moments when he was 100% oh so sweet! ๐
